Peter Hébert
Chairman, Lux Research, Inc.

Peter is co-founder and Chairman of Lux Research, building the company from inception to its current position. He is also the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Lux Capital. Prior to the formation of Lux Research, he worked in Lehman Brothers' Equity Research group. He has been an invited speaker, guest lecturer and panelist at CNBC, Bloomberg, Yale, Columbia, Cornell, MIT, and the National Science Foundation.

Peter was a Chancellor's Scholar and graduated cum laude from Syracuse University's Newhouse School.

Chris Brody
Chairman, Vantage Partners LLC

Chris has been chairman of Vantage Partners LLC, a private investment firm, since January 1999. From 1971 to 1998, Brody was a partner of Warburg, Pincus & Co., and was a member of its Operating Committee which managed the private equity and venture capital activities of the firm. He has served on boards of many portfolio companies, including particularly active roles as Chairman of ChipSoft (which was merged into Intuit), and as a Founding Board member of the Gartner Group. Chris is currently a member of the Boards of Directors of Intuit, Inc. and several privately-held companies. He was Chairman of the National Venture Capital Association (NVCA) and served on the Board of that organization for over ten years.

Mark Gerson
Co-Founder, Executive Chairman, Gerson Lehrman Group

Mark Gerson is the Executive Chairman of Gerson Lehrman Group, which he co-founded in 1998. A graduate of Williams College and Yale Law School, Mark is also the author of several books and numerous articles and essays. His work has been published by the Free Press, Addison Wesley and Madison Books, and in newspapers and magazines including The New Republic, Reader's Digest, USA Today and The Wall Street Journal. Mark currently serves on the boards of the Manhattan Institute, Student Sponsor Partnership, Yale Chai Society, and Imentor.

John Goldsmith
Retired Partner, AEA Investors

John Goldsmith, currently a private investor, was a partner of AEA Investors Inc., which he joined in 1989. While at AEA, John was involved in all aspects of the investment process including identifying, evaluating, negotiating, financing and overseeing investments, as well as working with management teams to plan and then achieve their goals. During this period the AEA team generated a net return to investors of approximately 50% on $1.5 billion of equity.

John received an MBA in finance from the Stern School of Business at NYU, is a CPA, and received an undergraduate degree in Biology from Princeton University in 1985.

Dale Kutnick
Senior Vice President and Director of Research, Gartner, Inc.

Dale Kutnick is Senior Vice President and Director of Research at Gartner, Inc., the leading provider of research and analysis on the global information technology industry. Prior to joining Gartner in April 2005, Dale was the co-founder, Chairman of the Board, and Research Director of META Group, Inc., an IT research advisory and consulting firm. Before co-founding META Group, he was EVP, Research at Gartner Group, and an EVP at Gartner Securities.

Dale is a graduate of Yale University and a member of the board of directors of First Albany Companies Inc. (NASDAQ: FACT).

Jeff Parker
Founder, Technical Data Corporation, First Call and CCBN

Jeff Parker has an extensive history of success as an entrepreneur, CEO and investor in financial services companies over the past 20 years. In 1980, Jeff founded Technical Data Corporation, a provider of financial analytic services for the institutional investment community. In 1983, he founded FirstCall Corporation, which became one of the financial community's leading providers of real-time financial information. In 1986, Jeff sold both these businesses to The Thomson Corporation and became Chairman and CEO of Thomson Financial, its financial services subsidiary. In 1997, Jeff co-founded CCBN.com (Corporate Communications Broadcast Network), a leader in enabling direct communications between public companies and the investment community over the Internet. Jeff served as the company's Chairman and CEO until its sale to The Thomson Corporation in March 2004.

Jeff received his Bachelors and Masters degrees in Engineering and his MBA from Cornell University. He is currently the co-chair of Cornell's Entrepreneurship and Personal Program and a member of the Johnson School's of Advisory Council. In 2001, Jeff was inducted into the Johnson School's of Management Hall of Honor.

Robert Paull
Managing Partner, Lux Capital

Robert is a Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Lux Capital, focusing on ventures in nanotechnology and biotechnology. Robert manages Lux Capital's investment in Molecular Imprints and Kereos, and serves on the Board of Directors of Genocea and Lux Research. Robert is also a member of Motorola's Research Visionary Board and has been published in Journal of Biomedical Materials Research (Applied Biomaterials) and Nature Biotechnology.

Robert graduated from the University of Virginia and is a member of the Regional Selection Committee for UVA's Jefferson Scholars Foundation.

Tamin Pechet
Principal, Catamount Ventures

Tamin Pechet joined Catamount in 2007 as Principal. Tamin spent the past seven years as an entrepreneur and investor. His focus areas include consumer internet and cleantech, with a particular emphasis on the water industry. He recently led Catamount’s investment in Lux Research, and serves on its Board of Directors. Tamin also currently serves as Chairman & Executive Director of Imagine H2O, a non-profit organization dedicated to spurring innovation in the water sector. Before joining Catamount, Tamin was a principal investor at Goldman, Sachs & Co., where he co-founded and managed Goldman Sachs E&P Capital to invest in private energy companies. Tamin hired the team and oversaw growth from scratch to over $200 million in capital invested.

Prior to Goldman Sachs, Tamin held a business development position with Launch Media through its acquisition by Yahoo! Tamin holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and an AB with honors from Harvard University.

Jim Sharpe
Director, Gerson Lehrman Group

Jim Sharpe is a Director of Research Management at Gerson Lehrman Group, running the firm's Energy & Industrials group. He is also a co-founder of Lux Capital. Prior to Lux Capital, Jim worked in Salomon Smith Barney's Investment Banking group. Jim also has experience with the Controller's Department at Fannie Mae in Washington, D.C. While at the University of Virginia, he co-founded Oodnadatta Outback Clothing, which developed a national retail presence.

Jim graduated from the University of Virginia 's McIntire School of Commerce with a BS in Finance and Japanese. Jim is a Member of the Pace University Advanced Media Center Steering Committee and serves on the Board of Lux Research.

Josh Wolfe
Managing Partner, Lux Capital

Josh Wolfe is a co-Founder and Managing Partner of Lux Capital, focusing on investments in nanotechnology, semiconductors and life sciences. Josh manages Lux Capital's investments in Nanosys and Cambrios, and serves on the Board of Directors of Crystal IS and Lux Research. Before forming Lux Capital, he worked in Salomon Smith Barney's Investment Banking group, where his experience included a $4 billion hotel merger and a defense against an unsolicited LBO. Josh has also worked in capital markets while at Merrill Lynch on its Financial Futures & Options/Government Strategy desk and at Prudential Securities in its Municipal Finance department. Prior to venturing into the financial world, Josh conducted and published cutting-edge AIDS/immunopathology research in Cell Vision and The Journal of Leukocyte Biology, leading medical/immunology journals. Josh is a co-founder of The NanoBusiness Alliance, a columnist with Forbes Magazine and Editor of the monthly Forbes/Wolfe Nanotech Report.

Josh graduated with distinction from Cornell University with a B.S. in Economics and Finance.
