Karthik Subramanian

Karthik Subramanian is an analyst at Lux Research and contributes to the Energy team’s coverage of low-carbon power generation technologies. In this role, he covers innovations in renewable and low-carbon power-generation technologies.

Prior to joining Lux, Karthik worked with the photovoltaic (PV) materials and devices group at Delft University of Technology (TU Delft), where he developed a software package on Matlab to model solar PV potential in urban environments. He holds an M.Sc. in sustainable energy technology from TU Delft, the Netherlands, and a B.Eng. in mechanical engineering from R.V. College of Engineering, Bangalore, India. Karthik is also a host of Lux Research’s podcast “Innovation Matters,” where he analyzes the latest headlines on innovation and interviews world-leading experts about their experiences navigating the technological, economic, political, and social trends that will determine what innovations succeed or fail.
