Suzanne Davies is a principal consultant, leading the Agrifood and CPG Lux Expertise team to deliver bespoke research to clients. Suzanne builds strategic insights across a broad range of topics from alternative ingredients to digital transformation and AI to precision agriculture to microbiome modulation to novel business models. In this role, Suzanne leads teams to deliver bespoke client projects in technology scouting, redesigning corporate innovation processes, technology partnership recommendations, and options to commercialize new technologies. She is based in Nottingham, England.
Prior to joining Lux, Suzanne worked at PepsiCo International for more than six years in R&D across both long-term research and commercial new product development. At PepsiCo, she was an R&D scientist and led projects focused on unlocking technical barriers for new business, alternative ingredients, and low-fat technology solutions. Suzanne also was the R&D lead for Future Brands, an incubator focused on rapid commercialization of new-to-PepsiCo technologies in the European market. Suzanne brings to Lux her expertise in understanding and overcoming the technical and business challenges of commercializing a new technology at speed.
She holds an M.Phil. in food science and engineering and a B.Sc. in food science and nutrition, both from the University of Nottingham in the U.K. In 2023, Suzanne successfully completed a course in business strategy at Harvard University. Suzanne also holds a patent for developing a successful low-water-usage method to manufacture pelletized products with unique properties and has written on applying nonfood measurement tools to food-based ingredients as a quality assurance screening tool.
