Lux Executive Summit 2019: Speakers Announced

Organizations today face mounting pressure to demonstrate stronger results from their innovation efforts. Now is the time to reassess the methodology behind your innovation processes. At the Lux Executive Summit, industry leaders gather to explore innovation opportunities, harness emerging tools, and network with other leaders in the space. This year's conference will take place over two days in Boston, Massachusetts at The Renaissance Boston Waterfront Hotel.

This year's theme is Evolving Your Innovation Journey. The summit will include keynote speakers from various industries and a Lux speaker from each of our four areas of focus: Digital Transformation; Owning the Energy Transition; Emerging Ecosystems in Agrifood and Health; Accelerating Materials Innovation. Navi Radjou | Innovation and Leadership Thinker/Advisor, Author, TED Speaker (@NaviRadjou)
Navi Radjou is a French-American scholar, an innovation and leadership advisor, and a bestselling author based in Silicon Valley. A Fellow at Cambridge Judge Business School, Navi has served on the World Economic Forum's Global Agenda Council on Design Innovation and contributes to Harvard Business Review online. In 2013, Navi won the prestigious Thinkers50 Innovation Award – given to a management thinker who is re-shaping the way we think about and practice innovation. Navi’s most recent book, Frugal Innovation: How To Do More With Less (with a foreword by Paul Polman, CEO, Unilever), published by The Economist in 2015, shows how companies can innovate faster, better, and sustainably in today’s customer-driven global tech economy shaped by climate change. Navi has also co-authored the global bestseller Jugaad Innovation (over 100,000 copies sold worldwide) and From Smart To Wise. His TED talk on frugal innovation has garnered over 1.7 million video views. And, he has received the prestigious Thinkers50 Innovation Award. Navi’s ideas have been shaped by his eclectic cultural background including his Indian roots, his French education, and his Silicon Valley milieu. He studied at Ecole Centrale Paris and the Yale School of Management. His writing appears in Fast Company, Harvard Business Review and 
strategy+business, among other publications. He is a lifelong student of Yoga, Ayurveda, and Buddhist (Vipassana) meditation.

Nazeer Bhore | Global Manager of Technology Scouting and Ventures Group, ExxonMobil Research and Engineering
Nazeer Bhore is the Global Manager of Technology Scouting and Ventures Group at ExxonMobil Research and Engineering in Clinton, New Jersey.  He has more than 30 years’ experience at ExxonMobil and its affiliates in various technical, refining, chemical, marketing, and corporate functions such as research, development, engineering, capital projects, strategy, new business development, technical services, and technology licensing. Nazeer holds a B.E. from the University of Bombay and a Ph.D. from the University of Delaware, both in Chemical Engineering.  He is also a graduate of the Wharton Management Program.  In his previous role, Nazeer was responsible for Breakthrough Portfolio and the Innovation Health of the R&D Organization.  In his current role, Nazeer leads the global group for technology scouting, incubation and venturing that brings “outside-in” ideas, technologies, practices and business models for current and emerging ExxonMobil business.

Adam Spunberg | Global Director - Tech Exploration at Anheuser-Busch InBev
Adam has developed emerging technologies and ecosystems for more than a decade, currently as Global Director of the award-winning Tech Exploration program at Anheuser-Busch InBev. Prior to that, he led large digital projects with big brands across several verticals, including Airbnb, Major League Baseball, Verizon, Broadcom, and Mount Sinai hospitals. He received his BA from Columbia University and JD from University of Florida, and currently serves as an Advisory Board Member for the Leading Disruptive Innovation program at Rutgers.

Dr. Talia Gershon | Director, Research Strategy & Growth Initiatives | IBM Research at IBM (@DrTaliaGershon)
Dr. Talia Gershon is the Director of Research Strategy and Growth Initiatives for IBM Research. In this role, Talia is responsible for driving initiatives that maximize the impact of the research division on the company, including transforming the way researchers define and deliver their work, driving an innovation process that shapes the future of the company, and incubating and accelerating select emerging technology and business opportunities to their next phase of growth. Prior to her present role, Talia led a team responsible for growing and nurturing a community interested in quantum computing and also spent 10 years conducting optoelectronics materials research.
