Ian Rinehart is an Analyst at Lux Research and contributes to the Accelerating Materials Innovation team’s coverage of 3D printing, built environment materials, and the circular economy. In this role, he writes about the trajectory of sustainable material technology and policy and assists clients on their innovation journeys.
Prior to joining Lux, Ian worked in the Palo Alto office of Mitsubishi Corporation, where he conducted research on a wide range of technology topics, such as self-driving cars, cellular agriculture, and in-store retail experiences. Previously, he worked for the Congressional Research Service, a non-partisan legislative branch agency, as a foreign policy expert focused on East Asia.
He holds an MA in Security Policy Studies from George Washington University (Elliott School of International Affairs) and a BA in International Relations from Pomona College.
